2020 UCAT Dates Have Been Announced

UCAT

2020-01-08

It’s important to keep track of all the dates and deadlines involved in the UCAT, if you miss any vital deadlines you’ll have to wait another year to try again. We’ve taken the hassle out of searching for all the correct dates of what to do and when by listing them all here in one place.

Make sure to write these dates in your diary, on your calendar, on your phone, laptop and even your bedside lamp. You don’t want to miss these dates.

All in one on Thursday 1 July 2020 (9am):

Unlike previous years, where there have been various dates for different things, this year everything is opening on the same day.

  • Registration- Register and make an online account on the UCAT Consortium website
  • Booking- Book your exam day and location through your online account
  • Bursary Scheme- Apply to gain help with the UCAT fee
  • Access Arrangements / UCATSEN applications

Monday 3 August 2020 is when it begins:

The UCAT testing season starts. Are you prepared? Know exactly what you’re doing? Check out our UCAT Online Course to make sure. The more practice you complete, the better prepared you will be for the real exam.  The longer you spend on revising the UCAT, the more time you allow your brain to store your new skills and improvements into your long-term memory. This strengthens each area of your brain that the UCAT requires to successfully score in the highest percentiles. Our UCAT Online Course simulates the real UCAT so you won’t feel unfamiliar with the real thing on the big day.

Doors close on Thursday 17 September 2020 (midday):

Last chance to get yourself organised as the following will close:

  • Registration
  • Online booking
  • Access Arrangements / UCATSEN application deadline

If you miss this deadline you will have to wait until 2021 to book for your UCAT.

Last leg on Thursday 1 October 2020:

This is the very last day of the testing season. It is the very last day you can sit your UCAT but final booking deadline for registered candidates is 30 September 2020 (midday).

UCAS application deadline Thursday 15th October 2020:

UCAS is an organisation that you apply to medical schools through. This is where you will pick what medical schools you’d like to attend, hear back from those medical schools and you will be expected to produce a personal statement of a high standard. This personal statement should include your motivation for studying medicine, reflections on work experience and extra curriculum activities and achievements. The UCAS personal statement tends to worry a lot of people so we designed a course to help take that stress away. Check it out here.

Final results in early November:

In most UCAT testing centres you will get a print-out of your scores as soon as you’ve finished sitting the UCAT and you’ll be able to access them on your online UCAT Consortium account. However, it won’t be until early November that your final UCAT score will be directly sent to all of your chosen medical schools.
